Caprock Auction Group launched in August 2009 in Amarillo TX as a pure bootstrap startup company with very little of everything. Our vision is to be a progressive auction company with a single-minded focus: to produce results for our clients. We now serve the Texas Panhandle and West Texas. We love serving the Great State of Texas and we are excited to continue our growth and reach throughout Texas. We have three core values in our company:

Our Team
DIRK VAN REENEN SR - Owner and CEO
Dirk Sr. recently bought out Caprock Auctions from his son Dirk who has since moved to Houston and is pursuing different career opportunities. Dirk is the owner and founder of USA Land and Ranch, LLC of Amarillo, TX. He is the supervising agent of the company and manages several other entrepreneurial ventures. Dirk is also owner of the recently acquired Caprock Auction Group, headquartered in Amarillo, TX. After completion of Agricultural school and military duty in South Africa Dirk went and worked on a kibbutz in Israel at Ayellet Hashagar. He travelled Europe and briefly worked in England then worked in Minnesota, US. Returning to SA, Dirk farmed and ranched for 20 years before relocating to Texas. Dirk managed a farming operation, fertilizer and chemical application business, and grain elevator for four years at which time he then became the General Manager to Bowen Ranches of Texas for 14 years. During his time in this position it was one of his functions to locate and purchase good properties with potential and then remodel the properties for full production before sale. Dirk began working with Caprock Realty of Amarillo in 2013 and currently brokers with Paul Harmon of Lubbock, TX. DIRK VAN REENEN - Founder
Dirk led the business development and the executive team for Caprock Auctions until selling to Dirk Sr. Being a husband and father of 2 is the most important thing to Dirk. He grew up in South Africa and moved to Crowell TX with his family at age 14. After high school he studied business at West Texas A&M. Dirk is also a 2009 graduate of the Texas Auction Academy where he earned his Texas Auctioneers license and holds a 7 year Texas real estate license. He possesses a deep knowledge of real estate and asset evaluation, marketing, and transaction management. Dirk had been widely recognized for his entrepreneurial spirit, drive to succeed, and professional business conduct. Awards Include:

KIM KRAAIER - Controller - Finance and Business Operations
Kim is the leader of the finance and operations sectors of USA Land and Ranch, LLC and the Caprock Auction Group. Her professional experience has included Fortune 500 enterprises, start-up companies, and public and private entities. Her expertise lies in business and operations management with a focus in accounting, finance, compliance, systems implementation, software migration, process improvement and business growth acceleration. Kim has been in the Amarillo area since 2015, originally hailing from Colorado. Her passion lies in lifelong learning and continuous self-improvement. To date, she has earned three undergraduate degrees and two graduate degrees. She is currently pursuing a MBA in General Business and a PhD in Performance Psychology, in addition to studying for the Texas Real Estate exam. Once licensed, she will take on the task of growing USA Land and Ranch's client base and extending the company's reach into the residential sector. Striving for a positive attitude is key to every success in life. Kim's goal is to impact companies and individuals alike by helping them achieve their goals. TRENT JONES - Auctioneer, Bid Assistant
Trent was born and raised in Amarillo where he has spent his entire life. He is passionate about the people and the land of the Texas Panhandle. Shortly after graduating high school, Trent attended two trade schools; the first specializing in welding and the second in horseshoeing. He has used these skills to help build many equestrian and agricultural facilities around the panhandle and take care of horses in the Amarillo area. He considers the work ethic he learned from these trades as his most valuable asset. He has been employed at the Pantex Plant since 2001 where he currently works as a Manager in Manufacturing. Trent recently graduated from America's Auction Academy in January 2019 and received his auctioneering license in March 2019. He graduated from the Professional Ringmen's Institute in May 2019. He is currently studying to pass the Texas Real Estate Exam and is looking forward to using these newly acquired skills to help grow the client base in the farm and ranch land sector. When not spending time with his beautiful wife and kids, Trent enjoys team roping, bird hunting, and helping out friends and family with various ranch activities. |
KEVIN BAKER - Bid Assistant
Kevin's professional background includes leading dynamic sales departments in the equipment manufacturing field. His major focus is on company consultation, primarily in the construction, oil & gas, and agricultural fields. Growing up in the farm and ranch community of Spearman, Texas, Kevin learned the value of hard work and helping others. Throughout school, he spent his spare time working at the Case IH Dealership, developing his knowledge of sales and agriculture. Kevin attended West Texas A&M University where he obtained a degree in Business Administration, emphasizing Finance, Management, and Marketing. Kevin is currently studying for the Texas Real Estate exam, and is also a May 2019 graduate of the Professional Ringmen's Institute, and he plans to become a licensed auctioneer. Keeping with the value of customer focus, Kevin is very excited to learn the real estate and auction industries to partner with clients in order to achieve their goals. |
